New Mill Male Voice Choir

The NMMVC in New Mill          Welcome to the New Mill Male Voice Choir Web Site!
New Mill is a small village near Holmfirth, the famous "Last Of The Summer Wine" country, in West Yorkshire, England. The choir was formed in 1991 following a chance meeting between a group of local singers, which soon evolved into the 50 strong vocal force we hear today.

Please take your time to have a good look around the site. There is a lot to see, hear and read so, don't be afraid, get stuck in. We hope to update the News and Events Informationas often as possible so bookmark us and check back regularly.

The choir has recorded a third CD entitled 'IN HARMONY'. The recording took place on Saturday and Sunday, 24/25 September 2005 in the main hall of Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, well known for its fine accoustic qualities. The disk comprises 17 tracks including popular songs such as 'Bridge over Troubled Water' as well as spirituals like 'L'il Liza Jane' and male voice favourites 'Arwelfa' and 'To Music (Deep Harmony)'. There are also two pieces specially arranged for the choir, 'The Irish Blessing' and 'Hail, Smiling Morn'.
