Anne Levitt - Accompanist
Anne hails from Port Talbot, South Wales and after
gaining a music degree at the University of East Anglia she qualified as a
teacher and worked for a number of years in schools in and around London.
Following her marriage she moved north and settled in Wetherby.
Baroque was an early musical love and she performed in many concerts as
harpsichord continuo. In Wetherby she began a long association with Wetherby
Musical Theatre Group where she was leading lady, accompanist and musical
director.
Whilst best known throughout the region as an accompanist Anne has been involved
with amateur operatic societies across Yorkshire and for the last few years has
been the Musical Director of Leeds Amateur Operatic Society. She also loves
jazz and for a number of years was big band vocalist/cabaret singer.
Anne was delighted to join joined New Mill Male Voice Choir in autumn 2002 as
accompanist.
